Narrative: Your abilities have been brought to the attention of the barbarian nation of Krewlod. Their skirmishes with the Erathian military on their eastern border are legendary. Many credit them for hardening Erathian Soldiers. Recently, a border raid resulted in victory, and uncharacteristically, a large number of prisoners. Upon interrogation, their suspisions were confirmed. Without King Gryphonheart, Erathia has lost its soul. Your goal is to quickly plunder the Erathian land within Krewlod's reach. Once they have the resources they need...war will be discussed. Until then, your independant participation is needed. Should you be captured, Krewlod will claim you were an over zealous clan leader, acting outside the interests of the nation.

Suggested Solution:

A. Starting bonus - 1 Ancient Behemoth

B. Approach - depends on which side you wish to end up at the end

C. Strategy - 1. if you like the heroes you developed in the previous scenario and simply want to get this one over with as fast as possible so you can get them back into action, here's what you do: build up to orcs, but no further, then start cranking up the economy. There is a gold mine to the east of your towns and, also, a couple of Water Wheels near by. With a capitol and a city hall your income will be 7000g a day with a 2000g weekly bonus. Purchase troops only out of necessity (i.e. enemy incursions, clearing mines, etc.) and you will accumulate the desired sum in no time.

2. if you really want to be a Barbarian in the final scenario, here's what you do: pick the heroes you like as they become available for hire and start preparing for war. Use the troops in your town and the ones stationed outside your town to build a quick strike force. Send that force north through the Erathian border to capture a Castle town in the north-eastern corner of the continent. Use your other heroes to clear out mines. Take the experience from all treasure chests you encounter. It's more difficult to raise your levels here because there aren't nearly as many neutral army camps around as before. You'll have to rely on defeating enemy heroes to level up. In that case, it would be wise to let them get a little stronger before you go after them. Once they start crossing over into your territory, it is probably a good time to attack them. All of the remaining enemy towns are located on two seperate islands near your own. Those can be reached either by boat or through an underground tunnel. Just make sure you don't get too rich too soon!
