Bastion is a completely fictitious faction, imagined by Talek Do'Lorn (TDL), as an ICTC entry. It is not playable in-game. You are welcome to discuss Bastion with its author.

    Expert's Corner (by TDL)

Although extremely expensive considering the precious resources are rather essential for Bastion, the creatures are not to be trifled with. One may question whether to buy the dwelling or not, but cost comparisons must be reviewed in order to purchase the most convenient - whether to buy weaker falconers for no resources, purely gold, or to recruit the ultimate riders with some sort of expense.

Bastion's special buildings, although based on bestowing a great many bonuses upon the nomad heroes, can provide your armies with enough power to unleash havoc when a foe is encountered. Sharp eyes may notice the cheap cost of growth boosters, which may give a pleasant boost to one's powergrowth. Wanderer and Rover booster, although not exactly vital, makes the sole fast-to-get shooter get a necessary boost for a low cost. The level 6 booster is a present for any Bastion owner due to its low cost and usefulness, increasing the longevity of the fragile casters/shooters.

Lacking behind with their defensive skills, nomads get an impenetrable boost to the town's endurance when acquiring the sturdy Tempestuous Rampart. Although may be used against themselves once in the hands of an enemy, during a siege it provides the nomads with a vital defensive barrier. Wall of Knowledge, having incremental value for the buyer, reminds of the Hall of Intrigue, although its bonus is rather bigger and it lets you recruit level 6 units. Same applies to the Brotherhood of Sword, therefore both may turn the tide of the battle for most armies (except undead).

Undoubtedly, the premier structure is the Sylath's Shrine, reminsicent of the Heroes 3 map location Altar of Sacrifice and the H5 Dungeon's Trade Guild . The only difference are the values at which the artifacts may be "donated". Even though the latter seems overpowered and too similar to Trade Guild, the resource value is meagre compared to experience which again is still rather low for an artifact, yet of immense use when seeking to get rid of all the duplicates and level up for free.
