Imps drain spell points from enemy spellcasters and transfer them to friendly spellcasters.
Comments: A poor level 1 creature, the only benefits being the speed of such a lowly creature, the cost, and the mana leech special ability, which, when Imps are split up, can severely injure a magic hero’s spellcasting capacity. Its great movement and speed make it a worthwhile scout and speed asset to the an army.
It is difficult to shoot a creature made up entirely of bone. Hence, the skeleton's improved defence against ranged attacks.
Comments: A weak creature only in Hit Points and damage, but has average specials, great attack and defense, and can move fairly far. High numbers of skeletons are easily reached due to basic necromancy.
The three-headed cerberi can attack up to 3 adjacent enemies simultaneously. These enemies cannot retaliate against a cerberus attack.
Comments: An average level 2 creature with the only outstanding areas being no retaliation and the 3 headed attack. The latter makes it the creature that does the most damage for a level 2 (18), and the former is a nice feature.
The etheral ghosts can drain life force from their opponents, aging their prey in seconds. This causes any target to become slower and weaker in combat.
Comments: A cheap level 2 creature with low HP but high attack, defense, movement, and speed, has the ability to age an opponent, thus making them weaker. Its other notable special ability, ‘insubstantiability’, compensates for the low HP, and saves the ghost from being a weak level 2.
Vampires regain health when they attack a living opponent. Health gained this way can even ressurect fallen vampires. Their hypnotic presence also prevents their victims from retaliating.
Comments: The second best level 3 creature in my eyes. Despite its average HP, the Vampire has attack and defense ratings that surpass some level 4s’. It has great speed and movement, but the clinching element is the life drain ability, which enables the Vampire to drain HP from the enemy and feed it to itself, even restoring already defeated Vampires.
The hideous, malformed venom spawn spits a deadly poison on its enemies before it consumes them.
Comments: A very strong ranged attacker, second best shooter in the third level in fact. Its very high attack and defense make it a strong creature, combine this with 100 HP to get a truly formidable force. As the final nail in the coffin, the poison ability can decimate an army in a slow but painful death.
When a bone dragon attacks, the sight is so fearsome most enemies flee in terror. Also, a bone dragon's skeletal body improves its defense against ranged attacks.
Comments: A strong creature statistically, it has good HP, and good movement, but fairly poor specials. Panic generally works in your favour, but sometimes it does the opposite by enabling a ranger to shoot at other creatures.
Devils can teleport to any location during combat. They are resistant to Life Magic spells and take less damage from Life-aligned opponents. They can also summon ice demons to assist them in battle.
Comments: A strong level 4 with the capacity to summon Ice Demons. Fairly good attack and defense, with the best movement in the game due to its teleporting ability. Choosing between the Devil and the Bone Dragon is one of the most difficult decisions in the game.
